Problem:
The launch of the SL20 required a product page that could clearly communicate performance innovation within the constraints of the adidas app. Existing product templates were optimized for standard commerce but did not fully support the depth of storytelling needed to highlight lightweight construction, speed-focused design, and technical features. The challenge was to elevate the presentation without compromising clarity, usability, or conversion flow.
Approach:
I approached the launch page as a structured performance narrative, using layout and motion to make key product benefits immediately legible. The design focused on establishing a strong visual hierarchy that separated storytelling from transactional elements, ensuring users could explore product highlights without losing sight of primary purchase actions.
Detailed motion carousels were introduced to showcase materials, construction details, and on-foot performance in a deliberate sequence. Dedicated sections were created for individual product features, allowing each benefit to stand on its own while contributing to a cohesive, scannable experience. All elements were designed to extend the adidas app’s existing patterns rather than disrupt them.
Solution:
I designed the SL20 launch product page within the adidas app, creating a visually structured and motion-enhanced experience that communicates performance clearly and efficiently. The final layout integrates dynamic carousels and modular highlight sections to guide users through the product’s technical advantages in a controlled, intuitive flow.
The experience elevates the perception of the SL20 as a high-performance running shoe while maintaining usability, consistency, and a clear path to purchase within the adidas ecosystem.
