Problem:
The adidas 4D FWD 1.0 wasn’t just another shoe launch—it represented years of product innovation powered by data and 3D printing. The challenge was to translate this complexity into a digital product experience that made the technology accessible, while still giving the silhouette the premium, futuristic presence it deserved.
Approach:
An elevated product experience was outlined. We designed a product storytelling system that blended performance capture with digital interface thinking. High-frame-rate motion studies showed the shoe in action, while layered graphic treatments referenced the data sets and lattice structures behind its design. Layouts were built to work seamlessly inside the adidas app, balancing immersive storytelling with clarity, hierarchy, and usability.
Solution:
The result was a product design framework that elevated 4D FWD 1.0 as both a performance innovation and a design icon. By unifying motion, graphics, and layout within a mobile-first environment, we created a scalable model for presenting adidas’ most advanced footwear—where cutting-edge research could be experienced as clearly as the product itself.
